Hi, I’m Chris from Kalf Productions, a wedding videography and photography business based in Adelaide, South Australia. This page explains what info I collect through kalfproductions.com, why, and what I do with it. I keep it simple and I treat your details with care, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What the enquiry form collects

When you send an enquiry, the form asks for:

  • Your names (you and your partner)
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Your wedding date
  • Your venue or location
  • Whether you’re after photo, video or both
  • Anything you’d like to tell me about your day

I use these details to check if I’m free on your date, reply with my films and price guide, answer your questions and, if you book, plan your wedding coverage. Like most websites, the form may also record basic technical info such as your IP address and browser type, to help block spam.

Where your info goes

Your enquiry is emailed to me and a copy is kept on the website. I also keep notes on enquiries and bookings in my own business records so I can follow up and look after you properly. Only I (and the people who help me run the business, where needed) can see them. I never sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Cookies and the Meta (Facebook) pixel

The site uses a small number of cookies. Some are needed for the site to work and stay secure. I also use the Meta pixel, a piece of code from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It sets cookies and tells Meta when someone visits the site or sends an enquiry. I use it to see whether my ads are working and to show my ads to people who’ve visited the site, or to people with similar interests. Meta handles this info under its own privacy policy, and it may be stored overseas.

You can opt out at any time:

  • Change your ad settings in Facebook or Instagram under Settings > Accounts Centre > Ad preferences (you can turn off ads based on info from partners, including sites like this one).
  • Visit Meta’s Privacy Policy for more on how Meta uses data.
  • Block or clear cookies in your browser settings, or use a private window. The site will still work.

Other services the site uses

My wedding films are hosted on YouTube. A film only loads from YouTube (using its privacy-enhanced mode, youtube-nocookie.com) when you click play, and YouTube’s own privacy policy applies from then. The site also links to my Instagram, which is covered by Meta’s privacy policy if you click through.

Seeing, fixing or deleting your info

You can ask to see the personal info I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Just email me at [email protected] and I’ll sort it out within 30 days. If you’re worried about how I’ve handled your info, let me know first and I’ll do my best to fix it. If you’re still not happy, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Keeping your info safe

I take reasonable steps to protect your details from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and I only keep them for as long as I need them for my business and legal obligations.
